Terms

About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Keksi & Co website (keksico.fi) and to orders, bookings and requests made through it. Keksi & Co is a bakery-café located at Kauppakatu 28, 53100 Lappeenranta, Finland. By using the website or submitting a form, you accept these terms. The terms are governed by Finnish law, including the Finnish Consumer Protection Act where you act as a consumer.
Orders and requests made through the website
All forms on this website — workshop bookings, the Cookie & Wine Pairing, private events and custom orders, business enquiries, gift card orders and contact messages — are requests. When you submit a form, we will reply to your email within 24 hours with payment and delivery details. A binding agreement between you and Keksi & Co is only formed once we have confirmed your request by email.
If you don't hear from us within 24 hours, please email us at info@keksico.fi.
You are responsible for the contact details you provide. We are not responsible for a request that fails because of an incorrect email address or phone number.
Prices and payment
Prices are given in euros. Where a price is shown as including VAT, it includes Finnish VAT. For orders made through the website, you receive an invoice by email within 24 hours of your request, and your order is processed once payment has been received. Prices for in-café products are shown at the café.
Gift card terms
Keksi & Co gift cards can be used for any in-store purchases of drinks and products at our café. Gift cards are available as physical cards (picked up in person at the café) or as digital cards (sent by email once payment is received — you can print them or show them on your phone). A gift card can be loaded with any amount.
Gift cards are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. An expired gift card cannot be used or converted into cash. A lost physical gift card cannot be replaced, as cards are not registered to a person.
Workshops and events
Cookie-Making workshops are held in English, last approximately three hours, cost €49 per person (including VAT) and are booked for groups of 5–10 people. Bookings must be made at least three (3) days in advance and are confirmed by email.
The Cookie & Wine Pairing is for participants aged 18 and over. Private tastings can be arranged for groups of 2–30 people and are confirmed by email.
Cancellations and rebookings for confirmed bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. For cancellations or rebookings made later than this, 50% of the booking cost will be charged. The invoice for any cancellation or rebooking charge will be sent to the email address used for the registration.
Products and allergens
Our cookies are baked fresh on site, and product appearance, ingredients and availability may vary. Allergen information on this website is provided for guidance: our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, milk, egg, soy and other allergens, so all products may contain traces. Always check the product packaging or ask our staff at the café before consuming, especially if you have an allergy.
Student benefit
Students receive 10% off eligible house-made drinks and products. The discount does not apply to packaged drinks or to products that are already discounted, such as cookie boxes. A valid student ID must be shown at the counter.
Use of the website
The content of this website — text, photographs, the Keksi & Co name and logo and the cookie images — belongs to Keksi & Co and may not be copied or used commercially without our written permission. You may share and link to our pages freely, however.
Limitation of liability
We aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we provide it as is and cannot guarantee that it is always complete or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the website is limited to the amount you paid for the order or booking in question. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Finnish law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a disagreement together, you may refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi). Disputes may also be resolved by the district court of the location of the café.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our products, prices or booking terms change. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your order or booking, and the date at the top shows when the terms were last updated.
For more information on how we process personal data — including what you submit through our forms — please see our Privacy Policy.
